After peeling the wraps off last year, the new Dodge Charger is confirmed to make its way to the European markets and expectedly in the UK as well. The Charger leaves a lot for posterity to decide, grounding itself as the first-ever fully electric muscle car. Its arrival to the European market has been confirmed by Stellantis which will be done through importers in the Old Continent in the second-half of this year.

What’s Coming?

The new Dodge Charger, as unveiled by the company will be available in two iterations – fully electric, and petrol. While both the models are expected to arrive at our shores, the cars will be left handed and made according to the US markets.

For those living under a rock, the new Charger will be provided in two body types and two powertrain options. On offer are a two- and four-door bodies, both of which will have an option of either fully electric powertrain or a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine.

The Charger is underpinned by Stellantis’ new STLA large platform that will also be used in the new Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio. The electric powertrain gets an electric motor on either axle with a total output of 503ps and 548 Nm of torque. The ScatPack option increases this to 690ps and 850 Nm. Both these versions get the same 94kWh battery pack, promising a range of 317 miles and 246 miles respectively.

The ICE, on the other hand, comes with a 3.0-litre inline-six hurricane engine. Like the electric version, the ICE will also be sold in two states of tune. The first with 420 PS and 637 Nm, the second with 550 PS and 746 Nm. We hope your tears are dried for the discontinuation of the V8 Hemi.
